Bio Susan Shreve is the author of fifteen novels, most recently You Are the Love of My Life, a memoir Warm Springs: Traces of a Childhood and twenty-nine books for children. She has edited or co-edited five anthologies and her essays have appeared in several collections as well as The New York Times, The Washington Post and several magazines.

Richards’ books, “Chosen by a Horse” and “Chosen Forever,” are open accounts of her tough life. It was her horse, Lay Me Down, that gave her the push to write her books. And everything fell into place from there. The book led to a book tour that led to reconnecting with family and falling in love.
